What a night! I was astro-imaging out in the garden with my telescope and the big mount, while I noticed a sudden increase in light pollution. It was the Northern lights from my garden, bright, colourful and detailed as I have never seen it before! I quickly grabbed the DSLR and the widest lens and fastest I have and a light tripod and went out in the street to capture one with a few nearby houses. I find the image very earthly and peaceful. A colourful and unique night in a quiet countryside small village in a night of October on planet Earth.
